Taxicab Rider Information
PASSENGER BILL OF RIGHTS
1.
The driver is not permitted to take a
longer route to the passengers’
destination than is necessary, unless
specifically requested to do so by
the passenger.
2.
A safe and courteous driver who obeys
all traffic laws.
3.
Clean air, smoke free environment.
4.
Air conditioning or heat upon request.
5.
A receipt provided upon request.
6.
Any passengers who is 18 years or older, who rides in the front or back seat of any taxicab on any highway, road or street in this state shall wear a safety belt if one is available for his seating position.”
7.
If, for any reason, you are having
trouble securing your seat belt, ask and
your driver will provide assistance.
8.
For your safety, passengers should use
the curbside door to exit the taxi.
9.
Remember to take all your possessions
when exiting the taxi. Driver is not responsible for lost items left in the taxi.

It is your responsibility to take reasonable measures to ensure your safety as a passenger. Wearing a seat belt is one such measure. Wearing a seat belt will likely minimize, if not eliminate, any injuries you may sustain should an accident occur while
riding in a taxicab.

SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted within the taxicab by ether passenger or driver.
CREDIT CARDS
Major credit cards are accepted. We accept VISA, Master card or American Express.
DOUBLING OF FARES
There may be times when customers request to ride together. In this case, if both parties are going to the same destination, only one fare can be charged. This may be split between both parties. Different destinations will be considered as two separate fares.
SEAT BELTS
Florida law requires all persons to wear seat belts. Children up to 40lbs must be in a child safety seat. 40-80lbs or under age 8 must be in a booster seat, under age 11 must be in a rear seat, if available.
REFUSAL OF PASSENGERS
A driver shall not refuse a passenger unless previously engaged or under conditions such as those described in the following paragraph:
A driver is not required to transport:
- Any intoxicated persons
- Disorderly persons
- passengers who are knowingly violating Federal, State or Local Laws
- Passengers who the driver has just cause to fear bodily harm to him/her or damage to the taxicab.
A driver may not refuse or discriminate based on race, sex, sexual orientation, age, mobility or destination.
